e·phem·er·al

/əˈfem(ə)rəl/

adjective: ephemeral

1: lasting for a very short time.

2: (chiefly of plants) having a very short life cycle.

Formed in the Summer of 2016, The Ephemeral set out to create a fresh and more lyrically conscious take on progressive metal. The primal conception, consisting of Phoenix, Arizona-based musicians Darin Senyk (guitar/vocals), Kieran Lynch (guitar), and Nick Fraga (vocals) recorded their first single Aphelion with Erik Jensen (Escape the Fate, Dead Rabbits).

Moving effortlessly between technical rock, atmospheric ambience, 8-stringed metal, and shoegaze soundscapes, the band quickly picked up shows opening for metal greats like Suicide Silence, Darkest Hour, Unearth, Slaughter to Prevail, and Aborted. In 2019, they released their first EP, Komorebi, which blended the band’s ability to write complex guitar passages paired with layered and soaring choruses.

After some years, The Ephemeral finally gained member consistency with Noah Shephard on drums and Nate Dobbins on bass. On September 8th, 2023. The Ephemeral released their sophomore album, Your Burden Is Safe with Me.
